Physiotherapy

We use electrical stimulation therapy in facilitating the recovery of people affected by injuries or illness.
This treatment has many benefits:

  • Decreasing Acute and Chronic Pain
  • Strengthening and Reeducating Muscles
  • Reducing Swelling and Inflammation
  • Healing Wounds
  • Stimulating Microcirculation
  • Increasing Blood Flow

  • Interferential Current (IFC)
  • Russian Stimulation
  • Premodulated Current
  • High Voltage
  • Microcurrent

Moist heating packs are used to reduce muscle spasm and increase blood flow. To decrease pain and inflammation, use cold packs.

Rehabilitation

Stretching

Dr. Yeager performs many stretching techniques to improve range of motion and increase the elasticity of the musculotendinous tissue. He uses proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), the fastest and most effective way known to increase flexibility. Patients are given instructions on how to perform stretches that are specific to their condition.

Stabilization and Strengthening Exercises

From spinal stabilization to isometric shoulder exercises, strengthening programs are tailored to the needs of the individual. Strength and flexibility training of the trunk and extremities is necessary to develop good postural control and stabilization skills. Stabilization can start the healing process and reduce or eliminate repetitive microtrauma.
To structure the program, we use the patient’s physical capacity. We teach patients the proper way to exercise to decrease the possibility of reinjury. Our program aims to have patients learn how to balance muscular function and flexibility to control the pressure involved in muscle movement. With stretching and strengthening exercises, patients can perform their daily activities better and have a healthier lifestyle.
